Dr Danista Khan holds a doctoral degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a research focus on applied deep learning methods on wireless sensing, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Lahore, Pakistan.

Prior to joining PolyU CPCE, Dr Khan worked as a research assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dr Khan has rich experience and expertise in applied artificial intelligence for wireless sensing.  She was awarded a Hong Kong Association of University Women scholarship in 2020.  Her research areas include channel state information based human activity recognition and crowd counting, deep and machine learning methods in wireless sensing for homecare, healthcare and eldercare.
