Dr Wenli Huang obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Outstanding Graduate) from Peking University.
She has held faculty positions at Boston University Questrom School of Business and the School of Accounting and Finance of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has taught various accounting courses in both undergraduate and MBA programmes.
Dr Huang has published academic research in the areas of accounting information and corporate disclosure, institutional trading, supply chain, and political connections, etc. Among them, her work published in the Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance on institutional trading is featured as a top story in Columbia Law School’s Blog on Corporations and the Capital Markets. Dr Huang also received a grant from the General Research Fund (GRF) of the Research Grants Council (RGC) of the HKSAR government for her recent work on executive tweets on the social media platform Twitter.
