Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong as an English Major, Ms Yiu pursued her Master degree in the City University of Hong Kong majoring in Translation & Interpretation. Viewing teaching as her lifelong career, Ms Yiu has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in the University of Hong Kong. Her research interest lies in teaching English as a second language and the process of cultural transfer in translation.

Ms Yiu possesses extensive teaching experience in secondary and tertiary level. She has been working as a full-time lecturer teaching English and Business English courses at several tertiary institutes after serving in the secondary sector. Teaching aside, Ms Yiu has also carried out other administrative duties. She has engaged in course co-ordination, the development of on-line learning materials and curriculum design.

Ms Yiu enjoys traveling in her spare time. As a fanatical dog lover, Ms Yiu is a voluntary worker at a local dog shelter.
