Ms Helen Guo obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Culture from Xi'an International Studies University in 2000 and later went to Australia for postgraduate study. She has obtained one master's degree in Professional Communication in English from the English Department of the University of Sydney and one master's degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Department of Linguistics of Macquarie University.

Ms Guo has always been passionate about teaching English language courses and translation courses to students of diverse cultural backgrounds. Before joining HKCC in 2009, she accumulated extensive teaching and research experiences both in the mainland China and Australia. She taught English language courses in her alma mater Xi'an International Studies University and translation courses in Macquarie University. From 2007 to 2008, she also took up a research position in the Department of English of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. During her study in Australia, she had papers presented in several international conferences.

Ms Guo has been a professional translator and interpreter accredited by the Australian National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters since 2005.

Away from work and study, Ms Guo cherishes the peaceful joy of reading and loves to be with family and friends.
