Dr Andrew Wu is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies. He is the Programme Leader of the Master of Science in AI and Emerging Technologies for Management. He is also the Deputy Director of the Research Centre for Green Energy, Transport and Building. 

In the realm of research, Dr Wu has led six RGC research projects in the capacity of Principal Investigator (PI), and contributed to four others as Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) or Co-Investigator (Co-I). In addition, he has led four internal research projects as PI. He has obtained the Active Scholar Award recently.

Dr Wu has published around 60 refereed journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings, including top-quality ones in Elsevier, Springer, IEEE Transactions, and IET. He is a reviewer of several top-quality international refereed journals, and he has obtained the Active Reviewer Award in Elsevier.

His research interests cover various areas including public policy, AI applications in smart city, economic and risk analysis, energy markets, electric vehicles and charging network, and ESG related issues. 

Throughout the years, Dr Wu has been dedicated to supervising postgraduate students to successfully complete their research and studies.

Dr Wu has acquired a number of professional qualifications from the U.S., U.K., and Hong Kong. He is a chartered Financial Risk Manager in the U.S., a full member of Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, and a member of Mensa. He is also a senior member of IEEE and a member of IET. 

Dr Wu is the Deputy Director of the Innovation and Technology Sub-Committee of the 7th Executive Committee for Hong Kong CPPCC Youth Association. He was a Panel Advisor for the Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration in the Hong Kong SAR Government.
