Dr Yu Fu-wing received his BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering and PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His major research interests include HVAC&R system simulation and energy performance of buildings. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

Prior to joining HKCC, Dr Yu was an engineering graduate in the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. From 2004 to 2008, he worked in PolyU for various research projects on developing optimum operation and control of various chiller systems. He was employed as a Visiting Lecturer and Lecturer to teach various undergraduate degree courses for the Building Services Engineering Department in PolyU. He has published over 90 papers in international journals and conference proceedings.
