Dr Sheheryar Khan received his BSc degree in Electrical Engineering with Honours from UET Peshawar, Pakistan, MSc degree in Digital Signal Processing with Distinction from Lancaster University, the UK and Doctorate degree in Electronic Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Medical Image Processing.
Prior to joining this institution, Dr Khan served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Imaging and Interventional Radiology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he focused on Machine Learning tasks related to Magnetic Resonance images. He also worked as a senior research associate and postdoctoral fellow at the City University of Hong Kong, where he worked on several computer vision tasks and developed algorithms for automatic object detection, matching and recognition in digital images.
Dr Khan's past teaching experience in this field spanned over five years as a full-time lecturer in COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. He is an IEEE member and a registered engineer at the Pakistan Engineering Council.
