Dr Chen Yanhua received her Bachelor of Engineering in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering in 2017, followed by a Master of Engineering in Surveying and Mapping Engineering in 2019, both from Wuhan University, China. She then completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Geography at The University of Hong Kong in 2024. She was recognised as an Outstanding Graduate Student in 2017 and 2019, and was awarded the HKU Foundation Postgraduate Fellowship for 2019–2020.
Dr Chen has published a book chapter, seven SCI-indexed journal papers (including four as first or corresponding author), and holds one patent.
