Dr Wong received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology (first class honours) and Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. For his outstanding academic performance, he was honoured in the Dean’s Honours List during his undergraduate study. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Society of Mass Spectrometry, and his research interests focus on Analytical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry.
Dr Wong has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the field of analytical chemistry through innovative research and scholarly work. He has published numerous articles in prestigious academic journals and presented his research at a variety of international conferences and symposiums, earning several best poster presentation awards for his research work. He has also worked as a Support Chemist at the Department of Research and Development of Nikyang Enterprise Limited in the Hong Kong Science Park for about three years.
In addition to his research work, Dr Wong has also gained valuable experience as a teacher and mentor. He has served as a Teaching Fellow at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong for more than three years, where he has taught various courses, including Advanced Analytical Food Techniques, Analytical Chemistry, Essential Chemistry, Food Analysis, Food Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry.
