Dr Wong Yiu-chung obtained his Bachelor of Social Sciences in China Studies (History) with first-class honours, Master of Philosophy and Doctoral of Philosophy from the Department of History of Hong Kong Baptist University. His master’s and doctoral dissertations were on the refugee problem in Hong Kong and China-Hong Kong border control respectively.

Prior to joining HKCC, Dr Wong was a research assistant and teaching assistant at Hong Kong Baptist University. He had also taught Chinese language and Chinese history in a secondary school.

Dr Wong’s research interests involve the history of Contemporary China, the history of Hong Kong, and the development of Chinese Culture. He enjoys taking different kinds of exercises and chatting with friends.
