Dr Joane Leung obtained her Bachelor of Social Science degree in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, followed by her Master of Science degree in Investigative Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology from The University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She is a Chartered Psychologist of The British Psychological Society and she is specialised in Forensic Psychology and Positive Psychology.

Prior to joining this institution, she taught psychology courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong and Macau, including The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and University of Macau. She also engaged as a Marketing Manager and a Brand Director for two Australian aromatherapy skincare brands before.
