Dr Ching graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Studies (Liberal Studies) from The University of Hong Kong and a Doctoral degree from The University of Newcastle.

Dr Ching enjoys working with students and he has organised a wide range of student development activities. Apart from community services, he also serves as committee members for professional bodies. Recently, he has been invited to review/contribute to textbooks by global publishers.
