Mr Ricky Lai obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He then pursued his Master of Arts in Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Liberal Studies from The Hong Kong Institute of Education.

Prior to joining HKCC, Mr Lai taught at both secondary and post-secondary institutes. Courses he taught included Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, Ethics & Philosophy, Business Ethics, Science, Technology & Society, and more.

Mr Lai enjoys thinking activities such as playing board games and reading murder mysteries as his hobbies. He also takes pleasure in being creative as he writes murder mysteries in his spare time.
