Teaching and Scholarly Interests: Humanities
Dr Law received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Lingnan University. He then earned his Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also a Certified Philosophical Counselor certified by American Philosophical Practitioners Association (APPA).
Dr Law teaches subjects related to Critical Thinking, Eastern Religion and Philosophy at HKCC. Before that, he worked as a visiting lecturer at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, teaching General Education subjects related to Logic, Religions, Chinese Culture and Chinese Philosophy.
Dr Law's academic interests include: Indian Buddhism, Chinese Buddhism, Contemporary Continental Philosophy, and Philosophical Counselling. Moreover, his doctoral thesis is about the Philosophical Counselling of Chan Buddhism. In addition, Dr Law is deeply interested in Mythology, Ancient Religions, Gnosticism in Early Christianity, Enneagram, Astronomy, Modern Physics, and especially ─ Ecology.
Dr Law loves reading, movie watching, stargazing, local eco-tours (e.g. butterfly watching) and eco-photography in his leisure time. He is always enthusiastic about sharing his interests with friends.
