Dr Xilin Guo received her PhD degree in Humanities (History) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2010. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Her major research fields are Chinese diaspora history, modern Chinese history, and China’s transnational relations.

Dr Guo was a teaching assistant for various history-related courses at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She teaches courses in culture, history and humanities at HKCC.
