Dr Amy Chui graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She majored in English and Applied English Linguistics during her undergraduate and postgraduate studies respectively.

She has worked as a teaching assistant for various linguistics courses for five years in the Department of English of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also has considerable experience teaching English for Academic Purposes courses to associate degree students.

Before taking up her current post in HKCC, Dr Chui worked in the Center for Enhanced Learning and Teaching of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and undertook institutional research and student learning research.
