Dr Catherine Cheng possesses a Master of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from The University of Hong Kong as well as a Postgraduate Diploma of Education from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 

Dr Cheng has worked as a secondary school teacher for a number of years. In 2004, she joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong as Research Officer, participating in the research project of Quality School Improvement. After switching to tertiary education, she taught Chinese Language and Putonghua to various levels of students.

 

At this institution, she teaches Use of Chinese to the students in the Foundation Programme.
