Teaching and Scholarly Interests: Chinese
Dr Li Yu-xiang graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she then obtained a Master’s degree and a PhD in Philosophy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her majors were Linguistics and Linguistics of Classical Chinese.
Dr Li taught Chinese as a second language during her period of study at Peking University. Such valuable and practical experience has facilitated her teaching at HKCC.
Dr Li’s main research interests lie in linguistic theory, classical Chinese and Chinese grammar. She has also published papers in academic meetings.
