Dr Wendy F.M. Chan obtained her BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology from Hong Kong Baptist University, MSc in Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and PhD from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (majoring in Enterprise Management), and MSc in Nutrition, Food Science and Technology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a qualified Hygiene Manager under the scheme of Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, HKSAR.

Dr Chan has devoted herself to education for around twenty years. To enhance her professionalism in education, Dr Chan completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at The University of Hong Kong. On top of teaching, she also worked for the Quality Education Fund Secretariat of the Education Bureau, where she was responsible for vetting applications of funded projects and for monitoring their implementation.

Before joining HKCC, Dr Chan taught at tertiary level in Hong Kong. She was also a module coordinator for numerous subjects and was actively involved in accreditation exercises associated with the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation.

With her solid commercial and teaching experience, Dr Chan likes to meet energetic students to share her knowledge and experience. She is currently serving as a Programme Leader of Associate in Health Studies, and teaching various science subjects such as Human Biology, Food Hygiene & Nutritional Health.
