Dr Viola Yin earned her PhD from Hong Kong Baptist University and holds a Bachelor of Medicine (BMed) degree from Sun Yat-sen University. She is a management scholar whose research is dedicated to advancing inclusivity, equity and well-being in the modern workplace. Her work addresses critical interpersonal and societal dynamics, such as the motherhood penalty, workplace ostracism, sexual objectification, and helping behaviours among colleagues. Additionally, her research explores leadership effectiveness and how workplace personalisation influences individual work-related outcomes.

In her teaching, Dr Yin delivers courses in management using a theory-based and research-integrated approach combined with interactive, real-world case analysis. She aims to help students connect theoretical principles with practical organisational contexts to effectively navigate contemporary workplace challenges.
