Output/ Activities/ Achievements

Dr Rui Shi received her BEng in Energy Power System and Automation in 2012 and MEng in Power Engineering in 2014 from Wuhan University, China. She served as a Thermal Power Engineer at the Research Institute of Nuclear Power Operation from 2014 to 2015. She completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Hong Kong in 2021. During her doctoral study, she was a Visiting Researcher at the Queen Mary University of London in 2020 and the University of Cambridge in 2021, United Kingdom.


Prior to joining PolyU CPCE, Dr Shi served as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the City University of Hong Kong from 2021 to 2024. Her teaching and scholarly interests include Analogue and Digital Circuits, Linear System and Signal Processing, Microfluidic Technologies, Micro/Nano-Materials, Organic Electrochemical Transistors and Skin-Integrated Electronics.
