Dr Kelly Ma graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a BSc in Food and Nutritional Sciences. She continued to pursue a higher degree and received her PhD in Food and Nutritional Sciences from CUHK. In recognition of her research and teaching performance, she was a delegate at international conferences and a recipient of the Postgraduate Teaching Award. 

Dr Ma is enthusiastic about social service and health promotion in the community. She participated in health talks for the elderly, social parties and the public in the past years. Her scholarly interests include food and diet, gut health, healthy ageing, microbiome, molecular biology and weight management.
